More Smells

Here's page two of H.G. Smells. I wasted much of yesterday (my first day off work) designing a flowery wallpaper for the Smells' kitchen only to realise, after I'd pasted it onto the page, that it was so busy looking that it gave me vertigo. Many years ago in my twisted youth I may have thought this was a desirable effect, now I just want to be readable.
I'll crack on with page 3 now.

What a great page, love the panel of smells fiddling with his time machine.I often find my self fretting about what to put in or leave out on a page I wouldn't like to say how many attempts end up in the bin half way through.Still practise makes perfect and all that.

Best wishes James

Nice work again Rob, only 2 pages in and I'm already emotionally involved with the characters, I've got this real concern for HG.... please don't give him too a hard time!

You're right, Paul, you can't help worrying about H.G, I hope he's going to be okay too. Great page, wonderful work!

I'm going to run out of nice things to say very shortly if you keep this up, Rob!

I've just noticed the Evel Knievel figureine with bike and the rotary charger thingy on the kitchen top there. And the sock over the chair. I'm slow but I get there in the end.

Cheers James, and tattyfilarious to you Andrew

Paul - I'll do everything in my power make sure nothing bad happens to H.G. I'm so glad to hear that the characters have you hooked - that is what all the hard work is for really.

Faz - there are a couple of other 70s icons on that page (makes it sound like I'm saying that a sock is a 70s icon...) I really didn't want any of the Dinlos stories to be a "retro" thing, but a few background details are fine.

It doesn't have the whiff of 'retro' about it at all but the small details whisk you back if you were around at the time. The Mills & Boon book for instance...
